Prayer:

Sanctify me oh Lord and teach me your ways. Open my eyes to your truth and let all deceit fade away. Let your spirit consume my heart that I will forever walk according to your way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Psalm 25:8 (CSB) 8Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

1 John 2:3 (CSB) 3This is how we know that we know him: if we keep his commands.

1 John 2:6 (CSB) 6The one who says he remains in him should walk just as he walked.

God desires our obedience and commitment of Faith and devotion to Him. God’s plan for us is perfect, but our fleshly desires leading to the delights of sin, come to deter us from God’s safety and plan. We as people are unable without the help of Christ Jesus, to sustain from entertaining sinful acts and ways. This is why it is vital to understand who Christ Jesus is; He is our Savior, our Advocate, the Holy and Righteous one. He alone is the truth, the way and life in which we are to follow as children of God. We must understand that Jesus has dealt with all sin and temptation, therefore He is the on in which we must put our trust and Faith in to keep us from falling to it. This requires something from us and it is called active participation. We must acknowledge the Lord’s truth by Faith.

Galatians 1:3-4 (CSB) 3Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, 4who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.

God’s desire is for us to live according to His will and ways and He was so gracious to send Jesus, His son, to deliver us from the grip of sin on our lives. This is why the truth of Galatians 5:1 (CSB) is true, “For freedom, Christ set us free. Stand firm, then, and don’t submit again to a yoke of slavery.”

When we engage God’s truth for our life, to live free from sin and not to return to it, then we can experience the fullness of God’s goodness and blessings for us.

Sin can only have a grip on you if you allow it to…don’t forget God’s truth!
