Luke 13:10-13

10 On a sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, 11 and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. 12 When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” 13 Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.

In this scripture we see that this woman with a terrible illness has been bound for eighteen years. Jesus sees this woman and the scripture says that Jesus called her forward and said, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Once Jesus said this and put His hands on her, she was immediately healed and delivered. Through this she was set free from the spirit that was in her, those chains that were keeping her bound were broken. So now we know that Jesus can set us free because He has all power and authority in His hands.
