Know Who I Am: The Many Names of GOD

Upon our acceptance of Jesus Christ in our lives and as we grow as Christians, we become aware of the many names of God. Today, we will focus on the name:

 Ha-Melech Jehovah

Knowing Ha-Melech Jehovah: The Lord the King

Our Creator Jehovah Bore, desires the praises of His people. Psalm 22:3 enlightens us to this truth “The Lord the king inhabits the praises of His people.” Therefore, we as His creation should take great delight in giving adoration and praises to the Lord of our Salvation.

Living apart from God is not living and the essence of life itself is non-existent. Life is but a vapor, the very breath that we breathe is given by God. Our spirits come alive when living for God, for He alone is the giver of life, both physically and spiritually. The senses that we use daily without thought or notice comes from the Lord. We often take for granted the many simple things in life in which we should glorify God for. In life we can lose sight of the blessings God gives us each day.

For instance, we have a full house of five children (GloryGivers Mini-me’s) and things can get quite loud at times, with magnified voices of yelling and screaming. In those moments we may not be thinking about the blessing of hearing because we may be desiring the noise to cease. We should think of the heightened noise as a blessing because God has given us the ability to hear and the blessing to experience our beautiful children, despite the “stadium level” sound radiating throughout our home. We should praise God always, even in the midst of these moments.

6 With trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn shout triumphantly in the presence of the LORD, our King.

Psalm 98:6

We don’t have to wait until we arrive at a special place to praise God. We can praise Him no matter where we are or what situation we are currently in. The beauty of it all is that during our daily experiences whether at home, at work, with friends and family or by ourselves, God is omnipresent (ever present with us). He desires us to have the right perspective in finding joy in all things and giving Him praises in all situations, even those perceived as being negative.

2 Consider it a great joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance.

James 1:2-3

Let us all be encouraged, don’t let life’s situations keep us from giving God what is due to Him which is all the Glory, Worship and Praise to His wonderful and excellent name. He has been faithful to us all. We can make it if we continue to trust and have faith that Ha-Melech Jehovah is always working things in our favor that His glory may be revealed!
