Romans 8:16-18
16The Spirit himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children,
17and if children, also heirs —heirs of God and coheirs with Christ—if indeed we suffer with him so that we may also be glorified with him.
18For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.
This, my friend, my sister, my brother in Christ Jesus, is life changing news! We have been redeemed through a man who never sinned, but took on our sin so that we can one day live in God’s heavenly kingdom forever.
So, what we face today, whether struggles, sadness, discomfort, disappointments, highs and lows, these are no comparison to what is in store for us eternally. The other great news is though we must temporarily live on this earth and experience the effects of sin in the world, we have hope which is made possible through the spirit of Jesus living in those who believes. He helps us to view life in hope and not in misery. We are not alone and He will never leave us. His word and His Holy Spirit are what we have, and I have been living for sometime now and can validate that it is true!
